Each day began with Holy Mass, celebrated alternately by Fr. Alain P. Manalo, Msgr. Michael Feliciano I. Veneracion, and Fr. Elmer G. Dizon. In one of the homilies, Msgr. Veneracion reflected on the connection between the PCSS-BE document and the spirit of Lent, emphasizing their shared call for transformation from within. Much like Lent’s call for spiritual renewal, the PCSS-BE document guides Catholic schools in reaffirming their mission and deepening their Catholic identity.
Once again, the Technical Consultants dedicated their time and expertise to this significant endeavor. Leading the effort was Fr. Alain P. Manalo, Head of the PCSS Commission, alongside Dr. Cynthia Arcadio, Chairperson of the PCSS-BE Commission. They were joined by Ms. Simonette Barossa, Fr. Elmer Dizon, Mr. Jose Ramelle Javier, Dr. Miguel Rapatan, Dr. Amelia Ronquillo, and Msgr. Michael Feliciano Veneracion. Ms. Marilou L. Manalili, PCSS Coordinator, also actively participated in the discussions.
The Philippine Catholic Schools Standards (PCSS) provide a framework for continuous improvement and sustainability in Catholic schools nationwide. By upholding the highest standards of Catholic education, the PCSS ensures that these institutions remain committed to faith formation, academic excellence, and the holistic development of students in alignment with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
