PCSS Commission Sets Plans for 2025

The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) - Philippine Catholic Schools Standards (PCSS) Commission held its first-quarter meeting on February 11, 2025, via Zoom. 

The meeting was facilitated by PCSS Chair, Fr. Alain P. Manalo, along with the commission members: Dr. Cynthia C. Arcadio, chair of the PCSS-Basic Education (BE); Fr. Elmer G. Dizon; Dr. Pilar I. Romero; Mr. Jose Allan I. Arellano; and the new commission members: Fr. Russel Bantiles, Sr. Roseann Mallillin, SPC, and Sr. Luzviminda Mojica.

The meeting focused on key updates, particularly the forthcoming completion and launching of the revised PCSS BE document. Members also discussed action plans to ensure the effective rollout of training, program implementation, and coaching initiatives for both PCSS Basic Education and Higher Education.

Despite the challenges they face, the commission members consistently demonstrate unwavering dedication by prioritizing meetings and planning sessions. Their collective efforts are focused on the ultimate goal of ensuring that the PCSS BE and HE documents, along with their objectives and standards, are widely embraced and effectively implemented in Catholic schools across the country.

The Philippine Catholic Schools Standards (PCSS) serves as a framework for the continuous improvement and sustainability of Catholic schools in the Philippines. Its mission is to uphold high standards of Catholic education, emphasizing faith formation, academic excellence, and the holistic development of students, all in alignment with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
